ENGINEERS AUSTRALIA NEWCASTLE DIVISION PRESIDENT 2015- MICHAEL VAN KOEVERDEN

January 2015 Michael van Koeverden was welcomed as Newcastle Division President of Engineers Australia.

Engineers Australia is the premier organisation representing the profession of engineering with over 100,000 members nationally and internationally it is broken into 7 divisions within Australia with the whole organisation starting from humble beginnings in Newcastle, NSW.

The honour board, at Newcastle Division Office, stretches back from 1908 with roots back into earlier engineering groups in the 1800's. The Newcastle division has a very proud and celebrated past with the highest concentration of national presidents coming from the Newcastle division. The Engineers Australia Newcastle division stretches from the Hawkesbury river, Central Coast NSW to the Queensland border and is a success story for regional and metro engineering collaboration with a strong regional focus and world class universities Newcastle has continually shown itself to be a leader in world class engineering.
